Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  According to the CDC, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men will experience physical violence by their intimate partner at some point during their lifetimes. About 1 in 3 women and nearly 1 in 6 men experience some form of sexual violence during their lifetimes.  Now is the time to rededicate ourselves to breaking the cycle, to support survivors, and to speak out against domestic violence in all its forms.

The Oregon Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence has numerous local resources for assistance should you or someone you know need them. Their website can be found here: https://www.ocadsv.org/find-help.  The State of Oregon also has resources listed at  https://www.oregon.gov/dhs/abuse/domestic/pages/index.aspx.

Should you or someone you know need legal assistance with a domestic violence situation, the attorneys at Four Point Legal are able to help. Please don’t hesitate to call.
