Divorce is an overwhelming time for clients. From the outset, I focus on relationships. Getting to know my clients on a personal level significantly increases my ability to navigate my clients through a difficult process with a healthy and realistic perspective. I approach each matter with objectivity and steer clients toward positions which further their ultimate best interest, both short and long term. Taking the time to process a divorce in straightforward and logical steps creates a manageable structure for my clients, which serves to reduce client stress. Also, I pride myself on always being available for my clients, offering quick responses and a clear path to resolution. Finally, organization, preparation and diligence are hallmarks of my representation of clients and approach to the practice, which has resulted in numerous successful mediated and litigated resolutions in complex/high asset property division matters.

My wife and three sons would say I am devoted to our family farm and and our sons’ academic and athletic pursuits. I am also obsessed with learning anything and everything about Thai cooking technique and culture, the Portland beer scene and fly fishing western US rivers and streams.
