Four Point Legal is seeking an attorney with three or more years of family law experience to join our hard-working team. Successful candidates must possess strong technical skills and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who connects well with people and can develop quality client relationships. We are a small, busy firm limiting our practice to family law, estate planning and business law. The firm consists of four partners with long-standing, exceptional reputations in the Portland area. FPL has over 50 years of combined legal experience, with highly respected staff members who bring their own extensive years of experience servicing clients.

We are located in the beautiful Field Office building in Northwest Portland’s Slabtown neighborhood. We enjoy being located in a relatively quiet neighborhood just off the water and a short walk from New Seasons and great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Your qualifications:

  • Must be a highly motivated, professional team player with the desire to develop and grow the family law department.

  • Three years’ experience in all facets of family law, including dissolution, custody, modification of existing orders and enforcement proceedings, as well as experience utilizing alternative dispute resolution methods.

  • Able to prioritize and manage your own caseload while also working collaboratively with other attorneys and legal staff.

  • Empathetic and sensible demeanor to appropriately handle sensitive family law matters and clients in crisis.

  • Membership in Oregon State Bar required. Admission in other jurisdictions a plus.

  • Must combine technical skills and excellent attention to detail with the ability to connect with people and develop strong client relationships.

  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, including the ability to understand, analyze, interpret and clearly convey complex information and concepts.

  • Competent research skills, including the ability to know when to “figure it out” and when to seek guidance.

  • Ability to focus and prioritize when faced with demanding situations.

  • Computer proficiency in basic business and legal programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • No ego. We work and function as a team, with everyone pitching in where needed.
